Daphne Gregory is a recognized innovator in the field of education. Her career development and internship
program received numerous awards on the local, state and national
levels. Her tenure in public education included the creation
of the model Career Exploration Internship Program for the highly
rated Millburn Township School District in New Jersey.
After leaving Millburn, she has continued to consult with high school and college students as well as those newly graduated in developing educational and career plans that often include internships. Further, she has worked with a number of school districts throughout New Jersey and New York City in successfully developing academic career exploration internship and student self-advocacy programs.
won numerous awards including the A+ For Breaking the Mold Award
conferred by the US Secretary of Education and the Federal Department
of Education Bi-Regional Best Practice Award. In May, 2003,
her program was highlighted by the U.S. Congress, and she was
invited to speak before a joint committee of Congress in Washington,
D.C. on the topic of innovative approaches to education. Her
work has been featured on ABC TV news, in a Barbara Koppel documentary
on the Disney Channel, in an Emmy Award winning NJN/NJEA production,
and in various print media throughout the United States.
